9And it was so, that, after310 they had carried it about5437, the hand3027 of the LORD3068 was against the city5892 with a very3966 great1419 destruction4103: and he smote5221 the men582 of the city5892, both small6996 and great1419, and they had emerods2914 6076 in their secret parts8368.
10Therefore they sent7971 the ark727 of God430 to Ekron6138. And it came to pass, as the ark727 of God430 came935 to Ekron6138, that the Ekronites6139 cried out2199, saying559, They have brought about5437 the ark727 of the God430 of Israel3478 to us, to slay4191 us and our people5971.
11So they sent7971 and gathered together622 all the lords5633 of the Philistines6430, and said559, Send away7971 the ark727 of the God430 of Israel3478, and let it go again7725 to his own place4725, that it slay4191 us not, and our people5971: for there was a deadly4194 destruction4103 throughout all the city5892; the hand3027 of God430 was very3966 heavy3513 there.
12And the men582 that died4191 not were smitten5221 with the emerods2914 6076: and the cry7775 of the city5892 went up5927 to heaven8064.
