4Then all the elders2205 of Israel3478 gathered themselves together6908, and came935 to Samuel8050 unto Ramah7414,
5And said559 unto him, Behold, thou art old2204, and thy sons1121 walk1980 not in thy ways1870: now make7760 us a king4428 to judge8199 us like all the nations1471.
6But the thing1697 displeased3415 5869 Samuel8050, when they said559, Give5414 us a king4428 to judge8199 us. And Samuel8050 prayed6419 unto the LORD3068.
7And the LORD3068 said559 unto Samuel8050, Hearken8085 unto the voice6963 of the people5971 in all that they say559 unto thee: for they have not rejected3988 thee, but they have rejected3988 me, that I should not reign4427 over them.

11And he said559, This will be the manner4941 of the king4428 that shall reign4427 over you: He will take3947 your sons1121, and appoint7760 them for himself, for his chariots4818, and to be his horsemen6571; and some shall run7323 before6440 his chariots4818.

22And the LORD3068 said559 to Samuel8050, Hearken8085 unto their voice6963, and make4427 them a king4428. And Samuel8050 said559 unto the men582 of Israel3478, Go3212 ye every man376 unto his city5892.
