2And he did6213 that which was right3477 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068, according to all that David1732 his father1 had done6213.
3He in the first7223 year8141 of his reign4427, in the first7223 month2320, opened6605 the doors1817 of the house1004 of the LORD3068, and repaired2388 them.
4And he brought in935 the priests3548 and the Levites3881, and gathered them together622 into the east4217 street7339,
5And said559 unto them, Hear8085 me, ye Levites3881, sanctify6942 now yourselves, and sanctify6942 the house1004 of the LORD3068 God430 of your fathers1, and carry forth3318 the filthiness5079 out of the holy6944 place.

7Also they have shut up5462 the doors1817 of the porch197, and put out3518 the lamps5216, and have not burned6999 incense7004 nor offered5927 burnt offerings5930 in the holy6944 place unto the God430 of Israel3478.
8Wherefore the wrath7110 of the LORD3068 was upon Judah3063 and Jerusalem3389, and he hath delivered5414 them to trouble2189 2113, to astonishment8047, and to hissing8322, as ye see7200 with your eyes5869.
9For, lo, our fathers1 have fallen5307 by the sword2719, and our sons1121 and our daughters1323 and our wives802 are in captivity7628 for this.
10Now it is in mine heart3824 to make3772 a covenant1285 with the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478, that his fierce2740 wrath639 may turn away7725 from us.
11My sons1121, be not now negligent7952: for the LORD3068 hath chosen977 you to stand5975 before6440 him, to serve8334 him, and that ye should minister8334 unto him, and burn incense6999.

14And of the sons1121 of Heman1968; Jehiel3171, and Shimei8096: and of the sons1121 of Jeduthun3038; Shemaiah8098, and Uzziel5816.
15And they gathered622 their brethren251, and sanctified6942 themselves, and came935, according to the commandment4687 of the king4428, by the words1697 of the LORD3068, to cleanse2891 the house1004 of the LORD3068.
16And the priests3548 went935 into the inner part6441 of the house1004 of the LORD3068, to cleanse2891 it, and brought out3318 all the uncleanness2932 that they found4672 in the temple1964 of the LORD3068 into the court2691 of the house1004 of the LORD3068. 18Then they went935 in6441 to Hezekiah2396 the king4428, and said559, We have cleansed2891 all the house1004 of the LORD3068, and the altar4196 of burnt offering5930, with all the vessels3627 thereof, and the shewbread4635 table7979, with all the vessels3627 thereof.
19Moreover all the vessels3627, which king4428 Ahaz271 in his reign4438 did cast away2186 in his transgression4604, have we prepared3559 and sanctified6942, and, behold, they are before6440 the altar4196 of the LORD3068.
20Then Hezekiah3169 the king4428 rose early7925, and gathered622 the rulers8269 of the city5892, and went up5927 to the house1004 of the LORD3068.
21And they brought935 seven7651 bullocks6499, and seven7651 rams352, and seven7651 lambs3532, and seven7651 he6842 goats5795, for a sin offering2403 for the kingdom4467, and for the sanctuary4720, and for Judah3063. And he commanded559 the priests3548 the sons1121 of Aaron175 to offer5927 them on the altar4196 of the LORD3068.

24And the priests3548 killed7819 them, and they made reconciliation2398 with their blood1818 upon the altar4196, to make an atonement3722 for all Israel3478: for the king4428 commanded559 that the burnt offering5930 and the sin offering2403 should be made for all Israel3478.
25And he set5975 the Levites3881 in the house1004 of the LORD3068 with cymbals4700, with psalteries5035, and with harps3658, according to the commandment4687 of David1732, and of Gad1410 the king's4428 seer2374, and Nathan5416 the prophet5030: for so was the commandment4687 of3027 the LORD3068 by3027 his prophets5030.
26And the Levites3881 stood5975 with the instruments3627 of David1732, and the priests3548 with the trumpets2689.
27And Hezekiah2396 commanded559 to offer5927 the burnt offering5930 upon the altar4196. And when6256 the burnt offering5930 began2490, the song7892 of the LORD3068 began2490 also with the trumpets2689, and with the instruments3627 ordained by3027 David1732 king4428 of Israel3478.
28And all the congregation6951 worshipped7812, and the singers7892 sang7891, and the trumpeters2689 sounded2690 2690: and all this continued until the burnt offering5930 was finished3615.
29And when they had made an end3615 of offering5927, the king4428 and all that were present4672 with him bowed3766 themselves, and worshipped7812.
30Moreover Hezekiah3169 the king4428 and the princes8269 commanded559 the Levites3881 to sing praise1984 unto the LORD3068 with the words1697 of David1732, and of Asaph623 the seer2374. And they sang praises1984 with gladness8057, and they bowed their heads6915 and worshipped7812.
31Then Hezekiah3169 answered6030 and said559, Now ye have consecrated4390 3027 yourselves unto the LORD3068, come near5066 and bring935 sacrifices2077 and thank offerings8426 into the house1004 of the LORD3068. And the congregation6951 brought in935 sacrifices2077 and thank offerings8426; and as many as were of a free5081 heart3820 burnt offerings5930.
32And the number4557 of the burnt offerings5930, which the congregation6951 brought935, was threescore and ten7657 bullocks1241, an hundred3967 rams352, and two hundred3967 lambs3532: all these were for a burnt offering5930 to the LORD3068.
33And the consecrated things6944 were six8337 hundred3967 oxen1241 and three7969 thousand505 sheep6629.
34But the priests3548 were too few4592, so that they could3201 not flay6584 all the burnt offerings5930: wherefore their brethren251 the Levites3881 did help2388 them, till the work4399 was ended3615, and until the other priests3548 had sanctified6942 themselves: for the Levites3881 were more upright3477 in heart3824 to sanctify6942 themselves than the priests3548.
35And also the burnt offerings5930 were in abundance7230, with the fat2459 of the peace offerings8002, and the drink offerings5262 for every burnt offering5930. So the service5656 of the house1004 of the LORD3068 was set in order3559.
36And Hezekiah3169 rejoiced8055, and all the people5971, that God430 had prepared3559 the people5971: for the thing1697 was done suddenly6597.
