16And he said1696 unto him, Thus saith559 the LORD3068, Forasmuch as thou hast sent7971 messengers4397 to enquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron6138, is it not because there is no God430 in Israel3478 to enquire1875 of his word1697? therefore thou shalt not come down3381 off that bed4296 on which thou art gone up5927, but shalt surely4191 die4191.
17So he died4191 according to the word1697 of the LORD3068 which Elijah452 had spoken1696. And Jehoram3088 reigned4427 in his stead in the second8147 year8141 of Jehoram3088 the son1121 of Jehoshaphat3092 king4428 of Judah3063; because he had no son1121.
