14So Jehu3058 the son1121 of Jehoshaphat3092 the son1121 of Nimshi5250 conspired7194 against Joram3141. (Now Joram3141 had kept8104 Ramothgilead7433 1568, he and all Israel3478, because6440 of Hazael2371 king4428 of Syria758.
15But king4428 Joram3088 was returned7725 to be healed7495 in Jezreel3157 of the wounds4347 which the Syrians761 had given5221 him, when he fought3898 with Hazael2371 king4428 of Syria758.) And Jehu3058 said559, If it be3426 your minds5315, then let none408 go forth3318 nor escape6412 out of the city5892 to go3212 to tell5046 it in Jezreel3157.
16So Jehu3058 rode in a chariot7392, and went3212 to Jezreel3157; for Joram3141 lay7901 there. And Ahaziah274 king4428 of Judah3063 was come down3381 to see7200 Joram3141.
17And there stood5975 a watchman6822 on the tower4026 in Jezreel3157, and he spied7200 the company8229 of Jehu3058 as he came935, and said559, I see7200 a company8229. And Joram3088 said559, Take3947 an horseman7395, and send7971 to meet7125 them, and let him say559, Is it peace7965?
18So there went3212 one on horseback7392 5483 to meet7125 him, and said559, Thus saith559 the king4428, Is it peace7965? And Jehu3058 said559, What hast thou to do with peace7965? turn5437 thee behind310 me. And the watchman6822 told5046, saying559, The messenger4397 came935 to them, but he cometh not again7725.
19Then he sent out7971 a second8145 on horseback7392 5483, which came935 to them, and said559, Thus saith559 the king4428, Is it peace7965? And Jehu3058 answered559, What hast thou to do with peace7965? turn5437 thee behind310 me.
20And the watchman6822 told5046, saying559, He came935 even unto them, and cometh not again7725: and the driving4491 is like the driving4491 of Jehu3058 the son1121 of Nimshi5250; for he driveth5090 furiously7697.
21And Joram3088 said559, Make ready631. And his chariot7393 was made ready631. And Joram3088 king4428 of Israel3478 and Ahaziah274 king4428 of Judah3063 went out3318, each376 in his chariot7393, and they went out3318 against7125 Jehu3058, and met4672 him in the portion2513 of Naboth5022 the Jezreelite3158.
22And it came to pass, when Joram3088 saw7200 Jehu3058, that he said559, Is it peace7965, Jehu3058? And he answered559, What peace7965, so long as5704 the whoredoms2183 of thy mother517 Jezebel348 and her witchcrafts3785 are so many7227?
23And Joram3088 turned2015 his hands3027, and fled5127, and said559 to Ahaziah274, There is treachery4820, O Ahaziah274.
24And Jehu3058 drew a bow7198 with his full4390 strength3027, and smote5221 Jehoram3088 between his arms2220, and the arrow2678 went out3318 at his heart3820, and he sunk down3766 in his chariot7393.
25Then said559 Jehu to Bidkar920 his captain7991, Take up5375, and cast7993 him in the portion2513 of the field7704 of Naboth5022 the Jezreelite3158: for remember2142 how that, when I and thou rode7392 together6776 after310 Ahab256 his father1, the LORD3068 laid5375 this burden4853 upon him;
26Surely I have seen7200 yesterday570 the blood1818 of Naboth5022, and the blood1818 of his sons1121, saith5002 the LORD3068; and I will requite7999 thee in this plat2513, saith5002 the LORD3068. Now therefore take5375 and cast7993 him into the plat2513 of ground, according to the word1697 of the LORD3068.

And Jehu3058 followed7291 after310 him, and said559, Smite5221 him also in the chariot4818. And they did so at the going up4608 to Gur1483, which is by Ibleam2991. And he fled5127 to Megiddo4023, and died4191 there.
28And his servants5650 carried7392 him in a chariot to Jerusalem3389, and buried6912 him in his sepulchre6900 with his fathers1 in the city5892 of David1732.
29And in the eleventh259 6240 8141 year8141 of Joram3141 the son1121 of Ahab256 began Ahaziah274 to reign4427 over Judah3063.
30And when Jehu3058 was come935 to Jezreel3157, Jezebel348 heard8085 of it; and she painted7760 6320 her face5869, and tired3190 her head7218, and looked out8259 at a window2474.
31And as Jehu3058 entered in935 at the gate8179, she said559, Had Zimri2174 peace7965, who slew2026 his master113?
32And he lifted up5375 his face6440 to the window2474, and said559, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out8259 to him two8147 or three7969 eunuchs5631.
33And he said559, Throw her down8058. So they threw her down8058: and some of her blood1818 was sprinkled5137 on the wall7023, and on the horses5483: and he trode her under foot7429.

37And the carcase5038 of Jezebel348 shall be as dung1828 upon the face6440 of the field7704 in the portion2506 of Jezreel3157; so that they shall not say559, This is Jezebel348.
