2And the whole congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel3478 murmured3885 against Moses4872 and Aaron175 in the wilderness4057:
3And the children1121 of Israel3478 said559 unto them, Would to God4310 5414 we had died4191 by the hand3027 of the LORD3068 in the land776 of Egypt4714, when we sat3427 by the flesh1320 pots5518, and when we did eat398 bread3899 to the full7648; for ye have brought us forth3318 into this wilderness4057, to kill4191 this whole assembly6951 with hunger7458.
4Then said559 the LORD3068 unto Moses4872, Behold, I will rain4305 bread3899 from heaven8064 for you; and the people5971 shall go out3318 and gather3950 a certain rate1697 every day3117 3117, that I may prove5254 them, whether they will walk3212 in my law8451, or no.
5And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth8345 day3117 they shall prepare3559 that which834 they bring in935; and it shall be twice4932 as much as they gather3950 daily3117 3117.

7And in the morning1242, then ye shall see7200 the glory3519 of the LORD3068; for that he heareth8085 your murmurings8519 against the LORD3068: and what are we5168, that ye murmur3885 3885 against us?
8And Moses4872 said559, This shall be, when the LORD3068 shall give5414 you in the evening6153 flesh1320 to eat398, and in the morning1242 bread3899 to the full7646; for that the LORD3068 heareth8085 your murmurings8519 which ye murmur3885 against him: and what are we5168? your murmurings8519 are not against us, but against the LORD3068.
9And Moses4872 spake559 unto Aaron175, Say559 unto all the congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel3478, Come near7126 before6440 the LORD3068: for he hath heard8085 your murmurings8519.
10And it came to pass, as Aaron175 spake1696 unto the whole congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel3478, that they looked6437 toward the wilderness4057, and, behold, the glory3519 of the LORD3068 appeared7200 in the cloud6051.
11And the LORD3068 spake1696 unto Moses4872, saying559,
12I have heard8085 the murmurings8519 of the children1121 of Israel3478: speak1696 unto them, saying559, At even996 6153 ye shall eat398 flesh1320, and in the morning1242 ye shall be filled7646 with bread3899; and ye shall know3045 that I am the LORD3068 your God430.
13And it came to pass, that at even6153 the quails7958 came up5927, and covered3680 the camp4264: and in the morning1242 the dew2919 lay7902 round about5439 the host4264.
14And when the dew2919 that lay7902 was gone up5927, behold, upon the face6440 of the wilderness4057 there lay a small1851 round thing2636, as small1851 as the hoar frost3713 on the ground776.
15And when the children1121 of Israel3478 saw7200 it, they said559 one376 to another251, It is manna4478: for they wist3045 not what it was. And Moses4872 said559 unto them, This is the bread3899 which the LORD3068 hath given5414 you to eat402.
16This is the thing1697 which834 the LORD3068 hath commanded6680, Gather3950 of it every man376 according6310 to his eating400, an omer6016 for every man1538, according to the number4557 of your persons5315; take3947 ye every man376 for them which are in his tents168.
17And the children1121 of Israel3478 did6213 so, and gathered3950, some more7235, some less4591.
18And when they did mete4058 it with an omer6016, he that gathered much7235 had nothing over5736, and he that gathered little4591 had no lack2637; they gathered3950 every man376 according6310 to his eating400.
19And Moses4872 said559, Let no man376 leave3498 of it till the morning1242.
20Notwithstanding they hearkened8085 not unto Moses4872; but some582 of them left3498 of it until the morning1242, and it bred7311 worms8438, and stank887: and Moses4872 was wroth7107 with them.
21And they gathered3950 it every morning1242, every man376 according6310 to his eating400: and when the sun8121 waxed hot2552, it melted4549.
22And it came to pass, that on the sixth8345 day3117 they gathered3950 twice4932 as much bread3899, two8147 omers6016 for one259 man: and all the rulers5387 of the congregation5712 came935 and told5046 Moses4872.
23And he said559 unto them, This is that which the LORD3068 hath said1696, To morrow4279 is the rest7677 of the holy6944 sabbath7676 unto the LORD3068: bake644 that which ye will bake644 to day, and seethe1310 that ye will seethe1310; and that which3605 remaineth over5736 lay up3240 for you to be kept4931 until the morning1242.
24And they laid it up3240 till the morning1242, as Moses4872 bade6680: and it did not stink887, neither was there any worm7415 therein.
25And Moses4872 said559, Eat398 that to day3117; for to day3117 is a sabbath7676 unto the LORD3068: to day3117 ye shall not find4672 it in the field7704.
26Six8337 days3117 ye shall gather3950 it; but on the seventh7637 day3117, which is the sabbath7676, in it there shall be none.
27And it came to pass, that there went out3318 some of the people5971 on the seventh7637 day3117 for to gather3950, and they found4672 none.
28And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, How long refuse3985 ye to keep8104 my commandments4687 and my laws8451?
29See7200, for that the LORD3068 hath given5414 you the sabbath7676, therefore he giveth5414 you on the sixth8345 day3117 the bread3899 of two days3117; abide3427 ye every man376 in his place, let no man376 go out3318 of his place4725 on the seventh7637 day3117.
30So the people5971 rested7673 on the seventh7637 day3117.
31And the house1004 of Israel3478 called7121 the name8034 thereof Manna4478: and it was like coriander1407 seed2233, white3836; and the taste2940 of it was like wafers6838 made with honey1706.
32And Moses4872 said559, This is the thing1697 which the LORD3068 commandeth6680, Fill4393 an omer6016 of it to be kept4931 for your generations1755; that they may see7200 the bread3899 wherewith I have fed398 you in the wilderness4057, when I brought you forth3318 from the land776 of Egypt4714.
33And Moses4872 said559 unto Aaron175, Take3947 a259 pot6803, and put5414 an omer6016 full4393 of manna4478 therein, and lay it up3240 before6440 the LORD3068, to be kept4931 for your generations1755.
34As the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872, so Aaron175 laid it up3240 before6440 the Testimony5715, to be kept4931.
35And the children1121 of Israel3478 did eat398 manna4478 forty705 years8141, until they came935 to a land776 inhabited3427; they did eat398 manna4478, until they came935 unto the borders7097 of the land776 of Canaan3667.
36Now an omer6016 is the tenth6224 part of an ephah374.
