5And if the servant5650 shall plainly559 say559, I love157 my master113, my wife802, and my children1121; I will not go out3318 free2670: shall: Heb. saying shall say

6Then his master113 shall bring5066 him unto the judges430; he shall also bring5066 him to the door1817, or unto the door post4201; and his master113 shall bore7527 his ear241 through with an aul4836; and he shall serve5647 him for ever5769.

7And if a man376 sell4376 his daughter1323 to be a maidservant519, she shall not go out3318 as the menservants5650 do3318.

8If she please7451 5869 not her master113, who hath betrothed3259 her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed6299: to sell4376 her unto a strange5237 nation5971 he shall have no power4910, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully898 with her. please: Heb. be evil in the eyes of, etc

9And if he have betrothed3259 her unto his son1121, he shall deal6213 with her after the manner4941 of daughters1323.

10If he take3947 him another312 wife; her food7607, her raiment3682, and her duty of marriage5772, shall he not diminish1639.

11And if he do6213 not these three7969 unto her, then shall she go out3318 free2600 without money3701.

12He that smiteth5221 a man376, so that he die4191, shall be surely4191 put to death4191.

13And if a man lie not in wait6658, but God430 deliver579 him into his hand3027; then I will appoint7760 thee a place4725 whither he shall flee5127.

14But if a man376 come presumptuously2102 upon his neighbour7453, to slay2026 him with guile6195; thou shalt take3947 him from mine altar4196, that he may die4191.

15And he that smiteth5221 his father1, or his mother517, shall be surely4191 put to death4191.

16And he that stealeth1589 a man376, and selleth4376 him, or if he be found4672 in his hand3027, he shall surely4191 be put to death4191.

17And he that curseth7043 his father1, or his mother517, shall surely4191 be put to death4191. curseth: or, revileth

19If he rise again6965, and walk1980 abroad2351 upon his staff4938, then shall he that smote5221 him be quit5352: only he shall pay5414 for the loss of his time7674, and shall cause him to be thoroughly7495 healed7495. the loss: Heb. his ceasing

20And if a man376 smite5221 his servant5650, or his maid519, with a rod7626, and he die4191 under his hand3027; he shall be surely5358 punished5358. punished: Heb. avenged

21Notwithstanding389, if he continue5975 a day3117 or two8147, he shall not be punished5358: for he is his money3701.

22If men582 strive5327, and hurt5062 a woman802 with child2030, so that her fruit3206 depart3318 from her, and yet no mischief follow611: he shall be surely6064 punished6064, according as the woman's802 husband1167 will lay7896 upon him; and he shall pay5414 as the judges6414 determine.

23And if any mischief follow611, then thou shalt give5414 life5315 for life5315,

24Eye5869 for eye5869, tooth8127 for tooth8127, hand3027 for hand3027, foot7272 for foot7272,

25Burning3555 for burning3555, wound6482 for wound6482, stripe2250 for stripe2250.

26And if a man376 smite5221 the eye5869 of his servant5650, or the eye5869 of his maid519, that it perish7843; he shall let him go7971 free2670 for8478 his eye's5869 sake.

27And if he smite5307 out his manservant's5650 tooth8127, or his maidservant's519 tooth8127; he shall let him go7971 free2670 for his tooth's8127 sake.

28If an ox7794 gore5055 a man376 or a woman802, that they die4191: then the ox7794 shall be surely5619 stoned5619, and his flesh1320 shall not be eaten398; but the owner1167 of the ox7794 shall be quit5355.

29But if the ox7794 were wont to push with his horn5056 in time past8543 8032, and it hath been testified5749 to his owner1167, and he hath not kept8104 him in, but that he hath killed4191 a man376 or a woman802; the ox7794 shall be stoned5619, and his owner1167 also shall be put to death4191.

30If there be laid7896 on him a sum of money3724, then he shall give5414 for the ransom6306 of his life5315 whatsoever is laid7896 upon him.

31Whether he have gored5055 a son1121, or176 have gored5055 a daughter1323, according to this judgment4941 shall it be done6213 unto him.

32If the ox7794 shall push5055 a manservant5650 or a maidservant519; he shall give5414 unto their master113 thirty7970 shekels8255 of silver3701, and the ox7794 shall be stoned5619.

33And if a man376 shall open6605 a pit953, or if a man376 shall dig3738 a pit953, and not cover3680 it, and an ox7794 or an ass2543 fall5307 therein;

34The owner1167 of the pit953 shall make it good7999, and give7725 money3701 unto the owner1167 of them; and the dead4191 beast shall be his.

35And if one man's376 ox7794 hurt5062 another's7453, that he die4191; then they shall sell4376 the live2416 ox7794, and divide2673 the money3701 of it; and the dead4191 ox also they shall divide2673.

36Or if it be known3045 that the ox7794 hath used to push5056 in time past8543 8032, and his owner1167 hath not kept8104 him in; he shall surely7999 pay7999 ox7794 for ox7794; and the dead4191 shall be his own.
