Ezekiel 17:1-24 KJV11 - Bible AI

And the word1697 of the LORD3068 came unto me, saying559,

Son1121 of man120, put forth2330 a riddle2420, and speak4911 a parable4912 unto the house1004 of Israel3478;

And say559, Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; A great1419 eagle5404 with great1419 wings3671, longwinged83 750, full4392 of feathers5133, which had divers colours7553, came935 unto Lebanon3844, and took3947 the highest branch6788 of the cedar730: divers: Heb. embroidering

He cropped off6998 the top7218 of his young twigs3242, and carried935 it into a land776 of traffick3667; he set7760 it in a city5892 of merchants7402.

He took3947 also of the seed2233 of the land776, and planted5414 it in a fruitful2233 field7704; he placed3947 it by great7227 waters4325, and set7760 it as a willow tree6851. planted: Heb. put it in a field of seed

And it grew6779, and became a spreading5628 vine1612 of low8217 stature6967, whose branches1808 turned6437 toward him, and the roots8328 thereof were under him: so it became a vine1612, and brought forth6213 branches905, and shot7971 forth sprigs6288.

There was also another259 great1419 eagle5404 with great1419 wings3671 and many7227 feathers5133: and, behold, this vine1612 did bend3719 her roots8328 toward him, and shot forth7971 her branches1808 toward him, that he might water8248 it by the furrows6170 of her plantation4302.

It was planted8362 in a good2896 soil7704 by great7227 waters4325, that it might bring forth6213 branches6057, and that it might bear5375 fruit6529, that it might be a goodly155 vine1612. soil: Heb. field

Say559 thou, Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Shall it prosper6743? shall he not pull up5423 the roots8328 thereof, and cut off7082 the fruit6529 thereof, that it wither3001? it shall wither3001 in all the leaves2964 of her spring6780, even without great1419 power2220 or many7227 people5971 to pluck it up5375 by the roots8328 thereof.

Yea, behold, being planted8362, shall it prosper6743? shall it not utterly3001 wither3001, when the east6921 wind7307 toucheth5060 it? it shall wither3001 in the furrows6170 where it grew6780.

Moreover the word1697 of the LORD3068 came unto me, saying559,

Say559 now to the rebellious4805 house1004, Know3045 ye not what these things mean? tell559 them, Behold, the king4428 of Babylon894 is come935 to Jerusalem3389, and hath taken3947 the king4428 thereof, and the princes8269 thereof, and led935 them with him to Babylon894;

And hath taken3947 of the king's4410 seed2233, and made3772 a covenant1285 with him, and hath taken935 an oath423 of him: he hath also taken3947 the mighty352 of the land776: taken an: Heb. brought him to an oath

That the kingdom4467 might be base8217, that it might not lift itself up5375, but that by keeping8104 of his covenant1285 it might stand5975. but: Heb. to keep his covenant, to stand to it

But he rebelled4775 against him in sending7971 his ambassadors4397 into Egypt4714, that they might give5414 him horses5483 and much7227 people5971. Shall he prosper6743? shall he escape4422 that doeth6213 such things? or shall he break6565 the covenant1285, and be delivered4422?

As I live2416, saith5002 the Lord136 GOD3069, surely in the place4725 where the king4428 dwelleth that made him king4427, whose oath423 he despised959, and whose covenant1285 he brake6565, even with him in the midst8432 of Babylon894 he shall die4191.

Neither shall Pharaoh6547 with his mighty1419 army2428 and great7227 company6951 make6213 for him in the war4421, by casting up8210 mounts5550, and building1129 forts1785, to cut off3772 many7227 persons5315:

Seeing he despised959 the oath423 by breaking6565 the covenant1285, when, lo, he had given5414 his hand3027, and hath done6213 all these things, he shall not escape4422.

Therefore thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; As I live2416, surely mine oath423 that he hath despised959, and my covenant1285 that he hath broken6331, even it will I recompense5414 upon his own head7218.

And I will spread6566 my net7568 upon him, and he shall be taken8610 in my snare4686, and I will bring935 him to Babylon894, and will plead8199 with him there for his trespass4603 that he hath trespassed4604 against me.

And all his fugitives4015 with all his bands102 shall fall5307 by the sword2719, and they that remain7604 shall be scattered6566 toward all winds7307: and ye shall know3045 that I the LORD3068 have spoken1696 it.

Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; I will also take3947 of the highest branch6788 of the high7311 cedar730, and will set5414 it; I will crop off6998 from the top7218 of his young twigs3127 a tender one7390, and will plant8362 it upon an high1364 mountain2022 and eminent8524:

In the mountain2022 of the height4791 of Israel3478 will I plant8362 it: and it shall bring forth5375 boughs6057, and bear6213 fruit6529, and be a goodly117 cedar730: and under it shall dwell7931 all fowl6833 of every wing3671; in the shadow6738 of the branches1808 thereof shall they dwell7931.

And all the trees6086 of the field7704 shall know3045 that I the LORD3068 have brought down8213 the high1364 tree6086, have exalted1361 the low8217 tree6086, have dried3001 up the green3892 tree6086, and have made the dry3002 tree6086 to flourish6524: I the LORD3068 have spoken1696 and have done6213 it.
