Behold my servant5650, whom I uphold8551; mine elect972, in whom my soul5315 delighteth7521; I have put5414 my spirit7307 upon him: he shall bring forth3318 judgment4941 to the Gentiles1471.

He shall not cry6817, nor lift up5375, nor cause his voice6963 to be heard8085 in the street2351.

A bruised7533 reed7070 shall he not break7665, and the smoking3544 flax6594 shall he not quench3518: he shall bring forth3318 judgment4941 unto truth571. smoking: or, dimly burning quench: Heb. quench it

He shall not fail3543 nor be discouraged7533, till he have set7760 judgment4941 in the earth776: and the isles339 shall wait3176 for his law8451. discouraged: Heb. broken

Thus saith559 God410 the LORD3068, he that created1254 the heavens8064, and stretched them out5186; he that spread forth7554 the earth776, and that which cometh out6631 of it; he that giveth5414 breath5397 unto the people5971 upon it, and spirit7307 to them that walk1980 therein:

I the LORD3068 have called7121 thee in righteousness6664, and will hold2388 thine hand3027, and will keep5341 thee, and give5414 thee for a covenant1285 of the people5971, for a light216 of the Gentiles1471;

To open6491 the blind5787 eyes5869, to bring out3318 the prisoners616 from the prison4525, and them that sit3427 in darkness2822 out of the prison3608 house1004.

I am the LORD3068: that is my name8034: and my glory3519 will I not give5414 to another312, neither my praise8416 to graven images6456.

Behold, the former things7223 are come to pass935, and new things2319 do I declare5046: before they spring forth6779 I tell8085 you of them.

Sing7891 unto the LORD3068 a new2319 song7892, and his praise8416 from the end7097 of the earth776, ye that go down3381 to the sea3220, and all that is therein4393; the isles339, and the inhabitants3427 thereof. all: Heb. the fulness thereof

Let the wilderness4057 and the cities5892 thereof lift up5375 their voice, the villages2691 that Kedar6938 doth inhabit3427: let the inhabitants3427 of the rock5553 sing7442, let them shout6681 from the top7218 of the mountains2022.

Let them give7760 glory3519 unto the LORD3068, and declare5046 his praise8416 in the islands339.

The LORD3068 shall go forth3318 as a mighty man1368, he shall stir up5782 jealousy7068 like a man376 of war4421: he shall cry7321, yea, roar6873; he shall prevail1396 against his enemies341. prevail: or, behave himself mightily

I have long time5769 holden my peace2814; I have been still2790, and refrained662 myself: now will I cry6463 like a travailing woman3205; I will destroy5395 8074 and devour7602 at once3162. devour: Heb. swallow, or, sup up

I will make waste2717 mountains2022 and hills1389, and dry up3001 all their herbs6212; and I will make7760 the rivers5104 islands339, and I will dry up3001 the pools98.

And I will bring3212 the blind5787 by a way1870 that they knew3045 not; I will lead1869 them in paths5410 that they have not known3045: I will make7760 darkness4285 light216 before6440 them, and crooked things4625 straight4334. These things1697 will I do6213 unto them, and not forsake5800 them. straight: Heb. into straightness

They shall be turned5472 back268, they shall be greatly1322 ashamed954, that trust982 in graven images6459, that say559 to the molten images4541, Ye are our gods430.

Hear8085, ye deaf2795; and look5027, ye blind5787, that ye may see7200.

Who is blind5787, but my servant5650? or deaf2795, as my messenger4397 that I sent7971? who is blind5787 as he that is perfect7999, and blind5787 as the LORD'S3068 servant5650?

Seeing7200 7200 many things7227, but thou observest8104 not; opening6491 the ears241, but he heareth8085 not.

The LORD3068 is well pleased2654 for his righteousness'6664 sake; he will magnify1431 the law8451, and make it honourable142. it: or, him

But this is a people5971 robbed962 and spoiled8154; they are all of them snared6351 in holes2352 970, and they are hid2244 in prison3608 houses1004: they are for a prey957, and none delivereth5337; for a spoil4933, and none saith559, Restore7725. they are all: or, in snaring all the young men of them for a spoil: Heb. a treading

Who among you will give ear238 to this? who will hearken7181 and hear8085 for the time to come268? for: Heb. for the after time?

Who gave5414 Jacob3290 for a spoil4933 4882, and Israel3478 to the robbers962? did not the LORD3068, he against whom2098 we have sinned2398? for they would14 not walk1980 in his ways1870, neither were they obedient8085 unto his law8451.

Therefore he hath poured8210 upon him the fury2534 of his anger639, and the strength5807 of battle4421: and it hath set him on fire3857 round about5439, yet he knew3045 not; and it burned1197 him, yet he laid7760 it not to heart3820.
