The word1697 of the LORD3068 came also unto me, saying559,
Thou shalt not take3947 thee a wife802, neither shalt thou have sons1121 or daughters1323 in this place4725.
For thus saith559 the LORD3068 concerning the sons1121 and concerning the daughters1323 that are born3205 in this place4725, and concerning their mothers517 that bare3205 them, and concerning their fathers1 that begat3209 them in this land776;
They shall die4191 of grievous8463 deaths4463; they shall not be lamented5594; neither shall they be buried6912; but they shall be as dung1828 upon the face6440 of the earth127: and they shall be consumed3615 by the sword2719, and by famine7458; and their carcases5038 shall be meat3978 for the fowls5775 of heaven8064, and for the beasts929 of the earth776.
For thus saith559 the LORD3068, Enter935 not into the house1004 of mourning4798, neither go3212 to lament5594 nor bemoan5110 them: for I have taken away622 my peace7965 from this people5971, saith5002 the LORD3068, even lovingkindness2617 and mercies7356.
Both the great1419 and the small6996 shall die4191 in this land776: they shall not be buried6912, neither shall men lament5594 for them, nor cut1413 themselves, nor make themselves bald7139 for them:
Neither shall men tear6536 themselves for them in mourning60, to comfort5162 them for the dead4191; neither shall men give them the cup3563 of consolation8575 to drink8248 for their father1 or for their mother517.
Thou shalt not also go935 into the house1004 of feasting4960, to sit3427 with them to eat398 and to drink8354.
For thus saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts6635, the God430 of Israel3478; Behold, I will cause to cease7673 out of this place4725 in your eyes5869, and in your days3117, the voice6963 of mirth8342, and the voice6963 of gladness8057, the voice6963 of the bridegroom2860, and the voice6963 of the bride3618.
And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew5046 this people5971 all these words1697, and they shall say559 unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD3068 pronounced1696 all this great1419 evil7451 against us? or what is our iniquity5771? or what is our sin2403 that we have committed2398 against the LORD3068 our God430?
Then shalt thou say559 unto them, Because your fathers1 have forsaken5800 me, saith5002 the LORD3068, and have walked3212 after310 other312 gods430, and have served5647 them, and have worshipped7812 them, and have forsaken5800 me, and have not kept8104 my law8451;
And ye have done6213 worse7489 than your fathers1; for, behold2009, ye walk1980 every one376 after310 the imagination8307 of his evil7451 heart3820, that they may not hearken8085 unto me:
Therefore will I cast2904 you out of this land776 into a land776 that ye know3045 not, neither ye nor your fathers1; and there shall ye serve5647 other312 gods430 day3119 and night3915; where I will not shew5414 you favour2594.
Therefore, behold, the days3117 come935, saith5002 the LORD3068, that it shall no more be said559, The LORD3068 liveth2416, that brought up5927 the children1121 of Israel3478 out of the land776 of Egypt4714;
But, The LORD3068 liveth2416, that brought up5927 the children1121 of Israel3478 from the land776 of the north6828, and from all the lands776 whither he had driven5080 them: and I will bring them again7725 into their land127 that I gave5414 unto their fathers1.
Behold, I will send7971 for many7227 fishers1771 1728, saith5002 the LORD3068, and they shall fish1770 them; and after310 will I send7971 for many7227 hunters6719, and they shall hunt6679 them from every mountain2022, and from every hill1389, and out of the holes5357 of the rocks5553.
For mine eyes5869 are upon all their ways1870: they are not hid5641 from my face6440, neither is their iniquity5771 hid6845 from5048 mine eyes5869.
And first7223 I will recompense7999 their iniquity5771 and their sin2403 double4932; because they have defiled2490 my land776, they have filled4390 mine inheritance5159 with the carcases5038 of their detestable8251 and abominable things8441.
O LORD3068, my strength5797, and my fortress4581, and my refuge4498 in the day3117 of affliction6869, the Gentiles1471 shall come935 unto thee from the ends657 of the earth776, and shall say559, Surely our fathers1 have inherited5157 lies8267, vanity1892, and things wherein there is no profit3276.
Shall a man120 make6213 gods430 unto himself, and they are no gods430?
Therefore, behold, I will this once6471 cause them to know3045, I will cause them to know3045 mine hand3027 and my might1369; and they shall know3045 that my name8034 is The LORD3068.
