Woe1945 be unto the pastors7462 that destroy6 and scatter6327 the sheep6629 of my pasture4830! saith5002 the LORD3068.

Therefore thus saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 against the pastors7462 that feed7462 my people5971; Ye have scattered6327 my flock6629, and driven them away5080, and have not visited6485 them: behold, I will visit6485 upon you the evil7455 of your doings4611, saith5002 the LORD3068.

And I will gather6908 the remnant7611 of my flock6629 out of all countries776 whither I have driven5080 them, and will bring them again7725 to their folds5116; and they shall be fruitful6509 and increase7235.

And I will set up6965 shepherds7462 over them which shall feed7462 them: and they shall fear3372 no more, nor be dismayed2865, neither shall they be lacking6485, saith5002 the LORD3068.

Behold, the days3117 come935, saith5002 the LORD3068, that I will raise6965 unto David1732 a righteous6662 Branch6780, and a King4428 shall reign4427 and prosper7919, and shall execute6213 judgment4941 and justice6666 in the earth776.

In his days3117 Judah3063 shall be saved3467, and Israel3478 shall dwell7931 safely983: and this is his name8034 whereby he shall be called7121, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS3072. THE LORD: Heb. Jehovahtsidkenu

Therefore, behold, the days3117 come935, saith5002 the LORD3068, that they shall no more say559, The LORD3068 liveth2416, which brought up5927 the children1121 of Israel3478 out of the land776 of Egypt4714;

But, The LORD3068 liveth2416, which brought up5927 and which led935 the seed2233 of the house1004 of Israel3478 out of the north6828 country776, and from all countries776 whither I had driven5080 them; and they shall dwell3427 in their own land127.

Mine heart3820 within7130 me is broken7665 because of the prophets5030; all my bones6106 shake7363; I am like a drunken7910 man376, and like a man1397 whom wine3196 hath overcome5674, because6440 of the LORD3068, and because of the words1697 of his holiness6944.

For the land776 is full4390 of adulterers5003; for because6440 of swearing423 the land776 mourneth56; the pleasant places4999 of the wilderness4057 are dried up3001, and their course4794 is evil7451, and their force1369 is not right. swearing: or, cursing course: or, violence

For both prophet5030 and priest3548 are profane2610; yea, in my house1004 have I found4672 their wickedness7451, saith5002 the LORD3068.

Wherefore their way1870 shall be unto them as slippery2519 ways in the darkness653: they shall be driven on1760, and fall5307 therein: for I will bring935 evil7451 upon them, even the year8141 of their visitation6486, saith5002 the LORD3068.

And I have seen7200 folly8604 in the prophets5030 of Samaria8111; they prophesied5012 in Baal1168, and caused my people5971 Israel3478 to err8582. folly: or, an absurd thing: Heb. unsavoury

I have seen7200 also in the prophets5030 of Jerusalem3389 an horrible thing8186: they commit adultery5003, and walk1980 in lies8267: they strengthen2388 also the hands3027 of evildoers7489, that none376 doth return7725 from his wickedness7451: they are all of them unto me as Sodom5467, and the inhabitants3427 thereof as Gomorrah6017. an: or, filthiness

Therefore thus saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 concerning the prophets5030; Behold, I will feed398 them with wormwood3939, and make them drink8248 the water4325 of gall7219: for from the prophets5030 of Jerusalem3389 is profaneness2613 gone forth3318 into all the land776. profaneness: or, hypocrisy

Thus saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts6635, Hearken8085 not unto the words1697 of the prophets5030 that prophesy5012 unto you: they make you vain1891: they speak1696 a vision2377 of their own heart3820, and not out of the mouth6310 of the LORD3068.

They say559 still559 unto them that despise5006 me, The LORD3068 hath said1696, Ye shall have peace7965; and they say559 unto every one that walketh1980 after the imagination8307 of his own heart3820, No evil7451 shall come935 upon you. imagination: or, stubbornness

For who hath stood5975 in the counsel5475 of the LORD3068, and hath perceived7200 and heard8085 his word1697? who hath marked7181 his word1697, and heard8085 it? counsel: or, secret

Behold, a whirlwind5591 of the LORD3068 is gone forth3318 in fury2534, even a grievous2342 whirlwind5591: it shall fall grievously2342 upon the head7218 of the wicked7563.

The anger639 of the LORD3068 shall not return7725, until he have executed6213, and till he have performed6965 the thoughts4209 of his heart3820: in the latter319 days3117 ye shall consider995 it perfectly998.

I have not sent7971 these prophets5030, yet they ran7323: I have not spoken1696 to them, yet they prophesied5012.

But if they had stood5975 in my counsel5475, and had caused my people5971 to hear8085 my words1697, then they should have turned7725 them from their evil7451 way1870, and from the evil7455 of their doings4611.

Am I a God430 at hand7138, saith5002 the LORD3068, and not a God430 afar off7350?

Can any376 hide5641 himself in secret places4565 that I shall not see7200 him? saith5002 the LORD3068. Do not I fill4392 heaven8064 and earth776? saith5002 the LORD3068.

I have heard8085 what the prophets5030 said559, that prophesy5012 lies8267 in my name8034, saying559, I have dreamed2492, I have dreamed2492.

How long shall this be3426 in the heart3820 of the prophets5030 that prophesy5012 lies8267? yea, they are prophets5030 of the deceit8649 of their own heart3820;

Which think2803 to cause my people5971 to forget7911 my name8034 by their dreams2472 which they tell5608 every man376 to his neighbour7453, as their fathers1 have forgotten7911 my name8034 for Baal1168.

The prophet5030 that hath a dream2472, let him tell5608 a dream2472; and he that hath my word1697, let him speak1696 my word1697 faithfully571. What is the chaff8401 to the wheat1250? saith5002 the LORD3068. that hath a dream: Heb. with whom is, etc

Is not my word1697 like3541 as a fire784? saith5002 the LORD3068; and like a hammer6360 that breaketh6327 the rock5553 in pieces6327?

Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets5030, saith5002 the LORD3068, that steal1589 my words1697 every one376 from his neighbour7453.

Behold, I am against the prophets5030, saith5002 the LORD3068, that use3947 their tongues3956, and say5001, He saith5002. that: or, that smooth their tongues

Behold, I am against them that prophesy5012 false8267 dreams2472, saith5002 the LORD3068, and do tell5608 them, and cause my people5971 to err8582 by their lies8267, and by their lightness6350; yet I sent7971 them not, nor commanded6680 them: therefore they shall not profit3276 this people5971 at all3276, saith5002 the LORD3068.

And when this people5971, or the prophet5030, or a priest3548, shall ask7592 thee, saying559, What is the burden4853 of the LORD3068? thou shalt then say559 unto them, What burden4853? I will even forsake5203 you, saith5002 the LORD3068.

And as for the prophet5030, and the priest3548, and the people5971, that shall say559, The burden4853 of the LORD3068, I will even punish6485 that man376 and his house1004. punish: Heb. visit upon

Thus shall ye say559 every one376 to his neighbour7453, and every one376 to his brother251, What hath the LORD3068 answered6030? and, What hath the LORD3068 spoken1696?

And the burden4853 of the LORD3068 shall ye mention2142 no more: for every man's376 word1697 shall be his burden4853; for ye have perverted2015 the words1697 of the living2416 God430, of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 our God430.

Thus shalt thou say559 to the prophet5030, What hath the LORD3068 answered6030 thee? and, What hath the LORD3068 spoken1696?

But518 since ye say559, The burden4853 of the LORD3068; therefore thus saith559 the LORD3068; Because ye say559 this word1697, The burden4853 of the LORD3068, and I have sent7971 unto you, saying559, Ye shall not say559, The burden4853 of the LORD3068;

Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly5377 forget5382 you, and I will forsake5203 you, and the city5892 that I gave5414 you and your fathers1, and cast you out of my presence6440:

And I will bring5414 an everlasting5769 reproach2781 upon you, and a perpetual5769 shame3640, which shall not be forgotten7911.
