The word1697 that came to Jeremiah3414 from the LORD3068, saying559,
Thus speaketh559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478, saying559, Write3789 thee all the words1697 that I have spoken1696 unto thee in a book5612.
For, lo, the days3117 come935, saith5002 the LORD3068, that I will bring again7725 the captivity7622 of my people5971 Israel3478 and Judah3063, saith559 the LORD3068: and I will cause them to return7725 to the land776 that I gave5414 to their fathers1, and they shall possess3423 it.
And these are the words1697 that the LORD3068 spake1696 concerning Israel3478 and concerning Judah3063.
For thus saith559 the LORD3068; We have heard8085 a voice6963 of trembling2731, of fear6343, and not of peace7965.
Ask7592 ye now, and see7200 whether a man2145 doth travail with child3205? wherefore do I see7200 every man1397 with his hands3027 on his loins2504, as a woman in travail3205, and all faces6440 are turned2015 into paleness3420?
Alas1945! for that day3117 is great1419, so that369 none is like it: it is even the time6256 of Jacob's3290 trouble6869; but he shall be saved3467 out of it.
For it shall come to pass in that day3117, saith5002 the LORD3068 of hosts6635, that I will break7665 his yoke5923 from off thy neck6677, and will burst5423 thy bonds4147, and strangers2114 shall no more serve5647 themselves of him:
But they shall serve5647 the LORD3068 their God430, and David1732 their king4428, whom I will raise up6965 unto them.
Therefore fear3372 thou not, O my servant5650 Jacob3290, saith5002 the LORD3068; neither be dismayed2865, O Israel3478: for, lo, I will save3467 thee from afar7350, and thy seed2233 from the land776 of their captivity7628; and Jacob3290 shall return7725, and shall be in rest8252, and be quiet7599, and none shall make him afraid2729.
For I am with thee, saith5002 the LORD3068, to save3467 thee: though I make6213 a full end3617 of all nations1471 whither I have scattered6327 thee, yet will I not make6213 a full end3617 of thee: but I will correct3256 thee in measure4941, and will not leave thee altogether5352 unpunished5352.
For thus saith559 the LORD3068, Thy bruise7667 is incurable605, and thy wound4347 is grievous2470.
There is none to plead1777 thy cause1779, that thou mayest be bound up4205: thou hast no healing8585 medicines7499.
All thy lovers157 have forgotten7911 thee; they seek1875 thee not; for I have wounded5221 thee with the wound4347 of an enemy341, with the chastisement4148 of a cruel one394, for the multitude7230 of thine iniquity5771; because thy sins2403 were increased6105.
Why criest2199 thou for thine affliction7667? thy sorrow4341 is incurable605 for the multitude7230 of thine iniquity5771: because thy sins2403 were increased6105, I have done6213 these things unto thee.
Therefore all they that devour398 thee shall be devoured398; and all thine adversaries6862, every one of them, shall go3212 into captivity7628; and they that spoil7601 8154 thee shall be a spoil4933, and all that prey962 upon thee will I give5414 for a prey957.
For I will restore5927 health724 unto thee, and I will heal7495 thee of thy wounds4347, saith5002 the LORD3068; because they called7121 thee an Outcast5080, saying, This is Zion6726, whom no man seeketh after1875.
Thus saith559 the LORD3068; Behold, I will bring again7725 the captivity7622 of Jacob's3290 tents168, and have mercy7355 on his dwellingplaces4908; and the city5892 shall be builded1129 upon her own heap8510, and the palace759 shall remain3427 after the manner4941 thereof.
And out of them shall proceed3318 thanksgiving8426 and the voice6963 of them that make merry7832: and I will multiply7235 them, and they shall not be few4591; I will also glorify3513 them, and they shall not be small6819.
Their children1121 also shall be as aforetime6924, and their congregation5712 shall be established3559 before6440 me, and I will punish6485 all that oppress3905 them.
And their nobles117 shall be of themselves, and their governor4910 shall proceed3318 from the midst7130 of them; and I will cause him to draw near7126, and he shall approach5066 unto me: for who is this that engaged6148 his heart3820 to approach5066 unto me? saith5002 the LORD3068.
And ye shall be my people5971, and I will be your God430.
Behold, the whirlwind5591 of the LORD3068 goeth forth3318 with fury2534, a continuing1641 whirlwind5591: it shall fall with pain2342 upon the head7218 of the wicked7563.
The fierce2740 anger639 of the LORD3068 shall not return7725, until he have done6213 it, and until he have performed6965 the intents4209 of his heart3820: in the latter319 days3117 ye shall consider995 it.
