2There shall be no more praise8416 of Moab4124: in Heshbon2809 they have devised2803 evil7451 against it; come3212, and let us cut it off3772 from being a nation1471. Also thou shalt be cut down1826, O Madmen4086; the sword2719 shall pursue3212 thee310.
3A voice6963 of crying6818 shall be from Horonaim2773, spoiling7701 and great1419 destruction7667.
4Moab4124 is destroyed7665; her little ones6810 have caused a cry2201 to be heard8085.
5For in the going up4608 of Luhith3872 continual1065 weeping1065 shall go up5927; for in the going down4174 of Horonaim2773 the enemies6862 have heard8085 a cry6818 of destruction7667.
6Flee5127, save4422 your lives5315, and be1961 like the heath6176 in the wilderness4057.
7For because thou hast trusted982 in thy works4639 and in thy treasures214, thou shalt also be taken3920: and Chemosh3645 shall go forth3318 into captivity1473 with his priests3548 and his princes8269 together3162.
8And the spoiler7703 shall come935 upon every city5892, and no city5892 shall escape4422: the valley6010 also shall perish6, and the plain4334 shall be destroyed8045, as the LORD3068 hath spoken559.

12Therefore, behold, the days3117 come935, saith5002 the LORD3068, that I will send7971 unto him wanderers6808, that shall cause him to wander6808, and shall empty7324 his vessels3627, and break5310 their bottles5035.
13And Moab4124 shall be ashamed954 of Chemosh3645, as the house1004 of Israel3478 was ashamed954 of Bethel1008 their confidence4009.
14How say559 ye, We are mighty1368 and strong2428 men582 for the war4421?
15Moab4124 is spoiled7703, and gone up5927 out of her cities5892, and his chosen4005 young men970 are gone down3381 to the slaughter2874, saith5002 the King4428, whose name8034 is the LORD3068 of hosts6635.
16The calamity343 of Moab4124 is near7138 to come935, and his affliction7451 hasteth4116 fast3966.

47Yet will I bring again7725 the captivity7622 of Moab4124 in the latter319 days3117, saith5002 the LORD3068. Thus far2008 is the judgment4941 of Moab4124.
