2And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, Speak1696 unto Aaron175 thy brother251, that he come935 not at all times6256 into the holy6944 place within1004 the vail6532 before6440 the mercy seat3727, which is upon the ark727; that he die4191 not: for I will appear7200 in the cloud6051 upon the mercy3727 seat.
3Thus2063 shall Aaron175 come935 into the holy6944 place: with a young1121 1241 bullock6499 for a sin offering2403, and a ram352 for a burnt offering5930.
4He shall put on3847 the holy6944 linen906 coat3801, and he shall have the linen906 breeches4370 upon his flesh1320, and shall be girded2296 with a linen906 girdle73, and with the linen906 mitre4701 shall he be attired6801: these1992 are holy6944 garments899; therefore shall he wash7364 his flesh1320 in water4325, and so put them on3847.
5And he shall take3947 of the congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel3478 two8147 kids8163 of the goats5795 for a sin offering2403, and one259 ram352 for a burnt offering5930.
6And Aaron175 shall offer7126 his bullock6499 of the sin offering2403, which is for himself1157, and make an atonement3722 for himself, and for his house1004.
7And he shall take3947 the two8147 goats8163, and present5975 them before6440 the LORD3068 at the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150.
8And Aaron175 shall cast5414 lots1486 upon the two8147 goats8163; one259 lot1486 for the LORD3068, and the other259 lot1486 for the scapegoat5799.
9And Aaron175 shall bring7126 the goat8163 upon which the LORD'S3068 lot1486 fell5927, and offer6213 him for a sin offering2403.
10But the goat8163, on which the lot1486 fell5927 to be the scapegoat5799, shall be presented5975 alive2416 before6440 the LORD3068, to make an atonement3722 with him, and to let him go7971 for a scapegoat5799 into the wilderness4057.
11And Aaron175 shall bring7126 the bullock6499 of the sin offering2403, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement3722 for himself, and for his house1004, and shall kill7819 the bullock6499 of the sin offering2403 which is for himself:
12And he shall take3947 a censer4289 full4393 of burning784 coals1513 of fire784 from off the altar4196 before6440 the LORD3068, and his hands2651 full4393 of sweet5561 incense7004 beaten small1851, and bring935 it within1004 the vail6532:
13And he shall put5414 the incense7004 upon the fire784 before6440 the LORD3068, that the cloud6051 of the incense7004 may cover3680 the mercy seat3727 that is upon the testimony5715, that he die4191 not:
14And he shall take3947 of the blood1818 of the bullock6499, and sprinkle5137 it with his finger676 upon the mercy seat3727 eastward6924; and before6440 the mercy seat3727 shall he sprinkle5137 of the blood1818 with his finger676 seven7651 times6471.
15Then shall he kill7819 the goat8163 of the sin offering2403, that is for the people5971, and bring935 his blood1818 within1004 the vail6532, and do6213 with that blood1818 as he did6213 with the blood1818 of the bullock6499, and sprinkle5137 it upon the mercy seat3727, and before6440 the mercy seat3727:
16And he shall make an atonement3722 for the holy6944 place, because of the uncleanness2932 of the children1121 of Israel3478, and because of their transgressions6588 in all their sins2403: and so shall he do6213 for the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150, that remaineth7931 among them in the midst8432 of their uncleanness2932.
17And there shall be no man120 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150 when he goeth935 in to make an atonement3722 in the holy6944 place, until he come out3318, and have made an atonement3722 for himself, and for his household1004, and for all the congregation6951 of Israel3478.
18And he shall go out3318 unto the altar4196 that is before6440 the LORD3068, and make an atonement3722 for it; and shall take3947 of the blood1818 of the bullock6499, and of the blood1818 of the goat8163, and put5414 it upon the horns7161 of the altar4196 round about5439.
19And he shall sprinkle5137 of the blood1818 upon it with his finger676 seven7651 times6471, and cleanse2891 it, and hallow6942 it from the uncleanness2932 of the children1121 of Israel3478.
20And when he hath made an end3615 of reconciling3722 the holy6944 place, and the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150, and the altar4196, he shall bring7126 the live2416 goat8163:
21And Aaron175 shall lay5564 both8147 his hands3027 upon the head7218 of the live2416 goat8163, and confess3034 over him all the iniquities5771 of the children1121 of Israel3478, and all their transgressions6588 in all their sins2403, putting5414 them upon the head7218 of the goat8163, and shall send him away7971 by the hand3027 of a fit6261 man376 into the wilderness4057:
22And the goat8163 shall bear5375 upon him all their iniquities5771 unto a land776 not inhabited1509: and he shall let go7971 the goat8163 in the wilderness4057.
23And Aaron175 shall come935 into the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150, and shall put off6584 the linen906 garments899, which he put on3847 when he went935 into the holy6944 place, and shall leave3240 them there:
24And he shall wash7364 his flesh1320 with water4325 in the holy6918 place4725, and put on3847 his garments899, and come forth3318, and offer6213 his burnt offering5930, and the burnt offering5930 of the people5971, and make an atonement3722 for himself, and for the people5971.
25And the fat2459 of the sin offering2403 shall he burn6999 upon the altar4196.
26And he that let go7971 the goat8163 for the scapegoat5799 shall wash3526 his clothes899, and bathe7364 his flesh1320 in water4325, and afterward310 come935 into the camp4264.
27And the bullock6499 for the sin offering2403, and the goat8163 for the sin offering2403, whose blood1818 was brought in935 to make atonement3722 in the holy6944 place, shall one carry forth3318 without2351 the camp4264; and they shall burn8313 in the fire784 their skins5785, and their flesh1320, and their dung6569.
28And he that burneth8313 them shall wash3526 his clothes899, and bathe7364 his flesh1320 in water4325, and afterward310 he shall come935 into the camp4264.
29And this shall be a statute2708 for ever5769 unto you: that in the seventh7637 month2320, on the tenth6218 day of the month2320, ye shall afflict6031 your souls5315, and do6213 no work4399 at all, whether it be one of your own country249, or a stranger1616 that sojourneth1481 among8432 you:
30For on that day3117 shall the priest make an atonement3722 for you, to cleanse2891 you, that ye may be clean2891 from all your sins2403 before6440 the LORD3068.
31It shall be a sabbath7676 of rest7677 unto you, and ye shall afflict6031 your souls5315, by a statute2708 for ever5769.
32And the priest3548, whom he shall anoint4886, and whom he shall consecrate4390 3027 to minister in the priest's office3547 in his father's1 stead, shall make the atonement3722, and shall put on3847 the linen906 clothes899, even the holy6944 garments899:
33And he shall make an atonement3722 for the holy6944 sanctuary4720, and he shall make an atonement3722 for the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150, and for the altar4196, and he shall make an atonement3722 for the priests3548, and for all the people5971 of the congregation6951.
34And this shall be an everlasting5769 statute2708 unto you, to make an atonement3722 for the children1121 of Israel3478 for all their sins2403 once259 a year8141. And he did6213 as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872.
